Touhou items in Utsunomiya

As I deleted my reply to a comment by accident, I’ll just post this here too.

“Hi. I thought I recognized Utsunomiya, and it seems there’s an Toranoana store over there too. You should probably be able to find a bunch of Touhou items in there as they usually carry lots of interesting items.
Check this link for a map and information about the store in Utsunomiya:

Movie clips are up!

It took a lot of time, but now I have finished uploading most of the movie clips from my trip to Japan.

First is the Harajuku Crossing in Tokyo:

Second is a clip of my friend Masa playing a whack the Alligators game in Tokyo Tower:

And the highlight of this post is the 3 part video special of the Natsu Hanami in Kawara at the evening of August 16th. It was the first time I was using my tripod that I bought in Tokyo, and I filmed the fireworks. Enjoy! =D

I hope you have enjoyed following me on my trip, and I will make sure to  post lots of more pictures the next time I go back to Japan.

The photos are up!

It is done! I have now uploaded ALL of the photos to the photo gallery.

There are now 15 new albums with a total of 774 new pictures uploaded. It took a lot of time, and it was extremely tiresome. Dx

And here are the new galleries:
And no, I’m not kidding. It really is the Moriya Shrine and Youmu’s Temple. Seriously, it’s the places ZUN used as base for them.

[090815] Kokura Castle, Moriya Shrine

[090816] Kawara, Tatsus Home + Natsu Hanami

[090817] Kawara, Youmu’s Shrine, Neko, Dinner

[090818] Leaving Kawara, Touhou items

[090819] Tokyo, Instrument shops and Touhou shopping spree

[090820] Akiba Ubar Touhou Madness, Money Issues, Cute Cats

[090821] Ueno Park, Looking for Studio Cube 326, Akihabara UFO Win

[090822] Buying Yukata, Picking up bracelet order, Nyanpire, Miku win

[090823] Akihabara Crane Master, Last Akyu CD

[090824] Odaiba Gundam Robot, Candy, Lucky Star

[090825] 16 Shots bar, Handy Stick, Stuff

[090826] Last Word – Last Day

[090827] Returning to Sweden

[090828] Unpacking and all Touhou Items

[090829-090901] Posters, Suika, iPod, Pizza

Phew! Yeah that’s probably all of them. Now there’s one more extremely annoying thing to finish. And that is to upload all of the movie clips.

It will surely take a LOT more time, seeing how my internet connection is nowhere even near the fastest you can get.

But if I let them upload during night it could probably be done in a few days or so. Maybe before the weekend, let’s see.

Anyway, enjoy the new picture galleries. It will keep you busy for quite some time.

And so, it has begun

Ah today I was in town and turned in my electric guitar to get it fixed up, and also ordered a new cord for my headphones since the old one is starting to break.

And I was looking around town for prices on a 1TB usb disk, but I actually found an even better one!

I got a 1.5TB usb harddrive!

This is Space!

And right now I’m formatting Space, and it’s taking a loooong time. I’m reformatting it mainly because I want it in ntfs instead of FAT32.

Yea, that is Space being formatted. It’ll probably take 2 hours or something in total.  I think it was pretty cheap for a 1.5TB drive too. It only cost:
168$ – 15,667Yen – 1200Sek

And with this awesome thing, I can finally fit ALL files from all of my old harddrives on just one harddrive. This will make it a lot easier to sort all files and keep things a lot more organized.

And it should save me a lot of headache now when I’m going to rip all my new cd’s and games that I bought in Japan.

So file copying is in progress! I should have this done a lot faster now, and when it’s done I can start uploading all of the photos and movie clips I still haven’t uploaded.

So have some more patience, it’ll be done. =P

Back in Sweden, and new iPod

Yeah so here I am again, back in Sweden. >_>

*sigh* I really want to go back to Japan. I’m already bored to death over here. I should turn in my guitar at the music store and get it fixed as soon as possible.

Well well. Yesterday I bought a 32gb iPod Touch, and now I have a daunting task before me. To rip and stash all cd’s that I bought in Japan and transfer it all to the new iPod.

This is a video of all the Touhou stuff I got from Japan, including the Touhou gifts I got.

That is a LOT of cd’s and games. And that’s not even all the cd’s I got. Except the Touhou cd’s I think I got about 10 other cd’s or so too. So it will take hours to get all this done. >_>

I also ran into some issues with my new iPod. I was over at one of my friends place today, and everything worked just fine. But after we went back from the store to buy some drinks and snacks before playing games, the wifi wouldn’t work at all anymore.

It would show as being connected but I wouldn’t receive an DNS address and router address, which is weird because it worked just fine maybe just an hour earlier. So that was really annoying. Especially seeing how the iPod wasn’t really cheap.

However, I did also try it on a open wifi network just after getting off the bus nearby where I live. And it worked without any issues at all.

I’m thinking it might have been a encryption issue or something. But it does raise a lot of questions. Apple should really look into it and fix those bugs. I found out that a lot of people have been encountering the same issues on their iPod Touch’s too, so it doesn’t seem that rare.

I might even need a new harddrive to organize all my files properly. My disks are in a kind of chaotic state right now.

Anyway, I still haven’t gotten around to uploading all the last pictures from the trip. I’m extremely tired and I still haven’t been able to rest up properly since I came back. I actually just got around 2 hours sleep or something this night.

I’ll get around to it though. Just have patience for a while. xP
I don’t want to make any false promises here, so give it maybe a week or something. I might be sooner but if I say a week, it should give me enough time to get it fixed I guess.

Oh and feel free to ask any questions about Japan, I’ll try to answer them all. I should make a lot of posts later about prices and tips for going to Japan and stuff. Night night.

Goodbye Japan, I will really miss you. ;__;

So, today has been the last day in Japan for this time. Although it was a really nice day, I can’t help but to feel sad for leaving.

I really love this country and I never want to leave it. Japan is probably the best place in the world, and also the safest country ever.

I have to get up really early tomorro to go to the Narita airport, because the plane is leaving at 11:30 am in the morning.

So just before I sleep, I’ll sum up the stuff I bought today before leaving. Last minute shopping.

I actually bought a Gameboy Advance SP with a bunch of games for around 7100 yen. I realised that I didn’t have anything small and portable to play my old gameboy games anymore, and it was also pretty cheap here in Japan.

The bad thing though is that I forgot that Nintendo were such idiots with the design of the SP. Mainly because you can’t plug in any headphones to it without using a adapter for the SP, which was also nowhere to be found in Akihabara.

Every store I asked told me that it was sold out. =(

Another game I bought at Super Potato, along with some covers for the other gameboy games too. I have no idea what kind of game this is, but it cost 50 yen and that’s about 3 kronor in Sweden or so. xD

I also found Grandia for Gameboy Color in another store. And since I love both Grandia 1 and 2 I think this one might be good too. Mainly since the characters are the same ones as from Grandia 1 which was my favorite one. So this should be really cool I think.

And I also got some new headphones today at Sofmap since my old ones broke before I left Sweden. And I only had my old psp phones which has this ridiculously short cord and pretty bad sound.

These were made of aluminum and also had a really nice sound. And they were kinda cheap as well. 1980 yen is a good price.

I was also actually thinking about buying a whole case of stick posters, but after buying a gba sp which cost a bit and also thinking about the now very limited space I had left, I didn’t get a case.

I did however buy 3 boxes of them. Two Lucky Star boxes and one from K-ON! even though I haven’t watched that anime yet. But I have a strong feeling that I will really like it, so naturally I had to get a K-ON box for good measure. =P

I was also thinking about buying a Touhou Patchouli figure today that I really liked. But to my huge surprise, the store was pretty much cleaned out. And they only had the Sakuya figure left, the one which I didn’t want. =/

But after scouting around the store for a bit. I decided to finally buy one of the two really cute Suika plushies. Suika has always been one of my favorite characters, and she’s a really cute little oni. =D

And I also found something really cool which I just had to get.

This morning when I was walking by a cd store in Akihabara, I noticed a cd I hadn’t seen outside the store before. It was this!

The Ragnarok Online Complete Soundtrack! It was released today on the 26th in Akihabara! =D I just had to get it while I still can. I’ve always loved Ragnarok Online and it’s music. It’s my all time favorite online game.

Although it was kinda expensive at 4800 yen Dx, but it comes with 4 cd’s with over 130 songs in total. And I also got the limited postcard which I think only comes with the cd if you buy it now.

I’m going to have a great time listening to all the amazing music I bought.

I also have 2 other pictures to show from Ikebukuro. We went over there tonight to check out some places on our last night in Tokyo before leaving tomorrow. And I found these two pictures really funny.

First we have the 24 hour NPC parking. xD

And next up is this really suspicious looking sign outside a store in Ikebukuro. I’m not sure what kinda store it was, but this sign sure raised some questionmarks. xP

But now I really have to sleep, because we are going up at 6:35 tomorrow morning and it’s already 1:43 am.

I’ll be arriving in Sweden around 22:30 PM on August 27th. So please don’t jam my phoneline on the morning of the 28th. I think I’ll need some sleep to catch up. xP

Night everyone!

The legendary gaming bar 16 shots

Yeah that’s right! I found it!

Me, Gabriel and Atsushi were heading around Shinjuku yesterday night to look for the legendary gaming bar known as 16 shots, and we actually managed to find it after looking for a long time.

It’s gamers only, and you need 700 gold to get in.

They had a lot of games in the place, and the bar disk was pretty small.

It’s a pretty hard place to find, but I think it’s totally worth it. It was a really nice atmosphere and the design of the place was awesome.

This is what their coasters looks like:

And I also got this nifty sticker from the bar that I pimped out my Netbook with:

Yeah that’s right. I have pictures. So it did happen. ;D

And I also bought this awesome extendable poking stick yesterday.

And it also turned out to have a pen inside it if you screw off the pointy hand. Most awesome pen ever!

But today is a sad day. I’m leaving Japan tomorrow morning. ;___;

I don’t want to leave this place. I really love it here, and I hate Sweden. Dx
I don’t want to go back. The only thing I really miss in Sweden is my friends.

=/

Well well I have to make something out of this day too, so I’m heading to Akihabara again soon. I need to pick up some last stuff while I can.

Japan, you really suck at hiding your robots

Ok, so today I went out to look for the Gundam robot on the Odaiba Island. And I have to say Japan, you really suck at hiding your robots. xD

Yeah, there were some of these signs just outside the station in Odaiba. And it pretty much reads: “Gundam, this way.” xD

And I took a lot of photos of the robot, and also 2 movie clips. It basically looks like this:

It was pretty cool and a really big robot. Although I’m not a great Gundam fan, I really had to visit it before they take it down at the end of the month.

And this was what I had for lunch. =P

And some awesome candy with Melon Soda flavor. xD

And I also won these stacks of Pocky in the ufo catchers at the Sega Joypolis in Odaiba.

Everything taste better when you win it. And it’s a lot more fun to win stuff than just buying them.

And this is the admission card you had to pay for to get in to the Joypolis:

They charge a 500 yen admission just to get into the place. And IMO it’s really not worth it. The prizes were pretty crappy and they mostly had candy. Maybe it’s more worth it if you want to spend money on all the attractions inside too, but I didn’t bother with that.

I also stopped by Akihabara and bought 2 packs of Lucky Star stick posters. They cost 525 yen per pack and you get 2 small random posters in every pack. One with a metallic shiny finish and one with a matte finish. They are very nice.

They also have some K-ON ones as well. And you can buy a unopened case set with 8 of these boxes for 4200 yen. Yeah, there’s no discount on buying a whole case. =/ I’m thinking about buying one tomorrow though. The posters were really nice, so if I can fit it in my suitcase without maxing the overweight I’ll probably get a case.

I also bought 2 huge manga books, mainly for the free items that were included with them. I bought one with a short Touhou story which came with this nice pencil board.

The book with the pencil board was only 350 yen, so it basically cost almost the same as the pencil boards you can buy in the stores, but this one is a limited edition one. =P

I also bought this huge manga that looks like a telephone catalog.

I don’t care much about the book itself, and it’s too big and heavy to take with me to Sweden. But I bought it because it came with this dvd:

It’s a limited 20th anniversary dvd for Ah My Goddess! (Ah! Megami Sama!), which is one of my all time favorite mangas/animes. And the dvd is also not for sale without the magazine, so I had to get the manga to get it.

It cost me 680 yen, but for a limited dvd I wouldn’t say that it’s expensive anyway. So tomorrow I’m not sure at what to do anymore. I’ve been around to a lot of places in Tokyo.

I’ve seen the Gundam, walked up the Tokyo tower, met Masa and his family, played a gazillion of ufo catchers, played some arcades with my e-amusement pass, gotten lost on a bunch of occasions.

What more is there to see in Tokyo? Maybe I should look around Ginza? I’m not sure though, I only have like 2 days left before I leave. I also need to make sure not to use too much money these last days since I need to pay for the phone I rented and I want to have like 40-50000 yen left when I get back to Sweden so I can buy a iPod Touch when I get back.

Mainly since I asked around in the stores where they had used ones over here and there is no warranties at all. So just forget about that. I’m not paying like 30000-40000 yen or so for something that might break after a month when I don’t have a warranty for it.

That’s not going to happen, especially since I haven’t upgraded my iPod ever. So I want to make sure that I get a good one and that I can get it replaced if it breaks for some reason.

I think I might go visit some of the shrines tomorrow. I found this small one kinda hidden that I want to go to. And after that maybe I should go to another Maid Café. I still haven’t seen the one with the level cards yet. I really want a level card. They looked so awesome.

And I have to check my luggage and see if I can buy a case of Lucky Star posters and bring with me.

But now I should probably go take a shower before sleep. It smells like something died in my socks. lol

Night everyone.

Neko power up! Final Akyu Fantasy!

I started today with stuffing my box I got from the post office full with stuff. And this is how it finally turned out:

I managed to stuff all the Lucky Star figures, both Hatsune Miku figures, the Snes USB controller, Nyanpire, Clothing and some gifts in there.

The weight was 2385 Gram and it cost 5400 yen to send it by EMS, which is supposed to take about 5 days or so to get there. I really hope that nothing goes wrong. All that stuff is really expensive combined. And It’s of sentimental value too, since it’s the box of WIN. Literarily since I won pretty much all the stuff in it.

I also won another one of these today. Maybe I’ll sell them at a convention for a lot of money later. xD

I really have to say that there was an insane amount of people everywhere today. I guess they all show up at Sundays probably. All the arcades and stores were extremely crammed with people.

So it’s a good thing I’ve played lots of Touhou, since I managed to graze my way by everyone without much problems. I’m pretty sure my graze level would be OVER NINE THOUSAND!

I also found another vending machine selling those Mario Sounddrops for only 100 yen instead of 200. So I got 3 of them, and luckily no doubles either. =D

Pretty sweet. I wonder if I could get them all though lol.

The machine was located just outside an extremely small and well hidden store in a tiny dark alley of the backstreets of Akihabara.

And it is also the location where I found these!

I found the last Akyu’s Untouched Score! \o/
And the Waki Miko Reimu CD as well. =D WHOHO!!

And I also found this awesome cd too. I got pics of the cover uploaded in the NSFW area of the gallery right here: NSFW Gallery
If you don’t know what NSFW stands for, don’t click the link. You’re on your own.

Oh and earlier before that, I also visited the UFO catcher with the cat paws again. And I got another one! =D

So now I got two of them. ^^ I’m happy with that now. But I couldn’t find any yellow cat ears to go with them so I think I might have to make them myself.

Awesome cat paws is awesome. =D And they make the Nyaaa~ Nyaaa~ sounds if you press them.

I also found another store at the top floor selling some cool Touhou stuff. I guess they may have rented the store temporary or something. They had some custom made things like stickers and a Cirno wallscroll which I wanted and other things. A lot of things were really expensive though, but having walked all the stairs to the 8th floor, I bought this Mokou sticker for 200 yen.

So I applied it to my Netbook for some Moekko cuteness upgrade. And now it looks like this:

I’m always bad at applying stickers straight on stuff. But I think I got it kinda right this time though. I think it’s still better than just the blue. =P

I also bought a small Hatsune Miku LED Light so I wont have to turn on the light and disturb people in the hostel room when I’m searching for something in the darkness.

It has 3 small led lights which is lit up when you hold an invisible button on the back side of it. It cost 450 yen. They also had some K-ON ones as well.

And todays bargain steal is the Redemption CD/DVD by Gackt.

I found it in one of Akihabara’s many random stores for a mere 190 yen. Now come on! That’s so cheap it just might be illegal somehow. xD

And the last pic for today is a Chocolate Fish cookie/bun thingy which I bought on my way back to the Hostel before I went out to eat lunch.

At a 210 yen cost it’s a semi-expensive snack. But having seen those things so many times in anime and stuff without knowing what it was or how it taste like, I really had to try it.

And the conclusion is, well you probably should have some green tea with it or something. It’s really a lot to eat just by itself. The fish was filled with chocolate cream which were kinda chewy, and I almost felt a bit sick eating it all by myself.

But it was still kinda tasty if I disregard having too much of it. So you should at least try it once. And they also do like kinda cute as well. =P

Now I’m going to research some stuff I found in Akihabara today to find out what it is. I found a bunch of things which I’m not really sure what it’s supposed to be.

Tomorrow maybe I’ll try to find that huge Gundam robot in Odaiba before they take it down by the end of this month.

Till next time, night night everyone.
